VMS shell accounts
Reliving My Youth, VMS February 16th, 2005My first Internet access was from a VMS system at UCT (the legendary uctvax.uct.ac.za), so I’ve always had a soft spot for it. I’m still in the process of trying to get myself a small VAX or Alpha machine to get VMS installed at home, but in the meantime I’ve dug up two sources of free shell accounts:
Check ‘em out and see what Dave Cutler is really capable of… (no, Windows NT doesn’t count).

It wouldnt power up last time I checked but prolly ‘cos the case was not closed properly (it has a clip effort to check).

I have always wanted a VAX for I believe that those where indeed the proper years of computing, I have a number of dec alphas of which I have loaded Linux or BSD but I would still love to get hold of alphaVAX 7.2 for my alpha server.
