Last night I finally got around to watching the first episode of The IT Crowd. As Mark Hoekstra says, it’s very funny – even my non-geek wife enjoyed it (although she thought they should include more geek content!). Heck, any show that has a camel (from the Camel Book) stuck on a cupboard has to score at least some points with the geek community.

Atrus has done some quite interesting analysis of the ‘best blonde joke ever’ meme, one of the sillier ones that’s done the rounds of late (and boy, has it done the rounds). Heck, even Robert Scoble has felt the effects (thanks to him for the previous link).

It’s quite interesting to track the meme’s history and to read the comments of those getting frustrated at not ever actually getting to the joke (and yes, I’ll admit it took me a few links to catch on).

This story from TheKansasCityChannel.com is almost too funny to be true – Woman With Tattoo From Homemade Gun Got Sick.

“It was wrapped with black tape, had a pin underneath it, had fishing wire going through it, you could tell it was a homemade gun,” Eason said.

The mind boggles at the thought of someone selling tattoos door-to-door with homemade equipment, never mind some idiot actually taking him up on the offer.
