As Rafiq says, our local LUG is in need of sponsorship for its stand at this year’s Futurex exhibition. • John “maddog” Hall will be talking at UWC (in Cape Town) on May 15. Topic is FOSS Integration & Interoperability & Freedom in the Digital Age and it starts at 11:00 in the library auditorium.

As usual, I’m always a bit behind with the news. This evening I saw that the initial registration fee for a .co.za domain has been dropped as of 1 November 2005 (the annual fee is still R50, about $7).
